PRK, or photorefractive keratectomy, involves removing the outer layer of the cornea to access the underlying tissue. The laser is then used to reshape the cornea. PRK is typically recommended for patients with thinner corneas or those who are not suitable candidates for LASIK.

During the first few days after your procedure, you may experience some discomfort, dryness, or blurry vision. At your follow-up appointment, we will evaluate your eyes to confirm they are healing as expected. We may also adjust your medication or give you additional instructions on how to care for your eyes and recover safely.
