Airdrie Family Eye Doctors offer direct billing with the following providers:
The first step to finding your perfect pair of contact lenses is to conduct an eye health exam. We will determine your current prescription and find out if there are any additional features your contact lenses should have. The exam is also when we will make sure that there are no eye health problems or conditions that would prevent or complicate comfortable contact lens wear. Although contact lens prescriptions and eyeglass prescriptions are different, it is a good idea to bring your current eyeglasses and sunglasses to the appointment.
Have you ever been measured for a piece of clothing? A contact lens fitting is a similar idea. We will measure the size and shape of your corneas to make sure we find the most comfortable and effective fit for you.
Once we have your measurements, it is time to start trying out contact lenses. We will give you a few short lessons on how to insert, remove, and care for your contacts. Then, we will set you up with a pair of diagnostic lenses for you to test drive at home.
If your first diagnostic lenses aren’t quite right, do not worry. This process can take a few tries, but the end result is absolutely worth the steps.
